The SIAC Football Player of the Week Honors for the week of September 7th: 

Offensive Player of the Week
Carlton Hill - Miles (Jr, QB, 6-3, 205, Monticello, FL)
Hill completed 19 of 29 pass attempts for 290 yards and five touchdowns, including a 91-yarder, in a win over Stillman in the Labor Day Classic

Defensive Player of the Week
Charlie Wilson – Morehouse- (Jr, LB, 6-0, 205, Montgomery, AL)
Wilson recorded 9 tackles (3 solos, 6 assists) and 1.5 sacks. He also returned a fumble 95 yards for a touchdown, longest in Morehouse history.

Newcomers of the Week
Christopher Mayabb – Stillman- (Jr, QB, 6-3, 220, Exeter, CA)
Mayabb completed 20 of 44 passes for 316 yards and 4 touchdowns in a 35-29 overtime loss to Miles in the Labor Day Golden Classic.
 
Offensive Lineman of the Week
Marlon Jones – Morehouse-(So, OL, 5-11, 300, Powder Springs, GA)
Jones was the centerpiece of a Morehouse line that tallied 345 yards of total offense and allowed only one sack. Morehouse scored on 4-of-4 chances in the Red Zone, in a 47-34 road win over Fort Valley. Jones graded out at 90 percent.
Special Teams Players of the Week
Justin Rosenbaum – Fort Valley State-(So, P, 6-2, 190, Owosso, MI)
Rosenbaum went 4 of 4 in extra points attempts and 2 of 3 in field goals. He converted on field goals of 30 and 42 yards.
 
 
Honorable Mention Performances:
Sean Frezell- Fort Valley State-Frezell had 28 completions on 43 attempts for 254 yards with one touchdown.
Reginald Goodrum- Fort Valley State- Goodrum had11 tackles with 4 tackles for losses and one-half sacks.

Tony Reid- Fort Valley State – finished 91 yards rushing on 13 carries. He ran for touchdowns of 31 and three yards. Averaged seven yards per carry. Had one kick off return of 34 yards and accounted for 125 yards of total offense.
Jerrell Noland-Kentucky State- Noland completed 15-19 passes for 166 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Derrick Addai- Kentucky State- Addai had a game-high 9 tackles (all solo) and had one forced fumble. He led a Thorobred defense that allowed just 59 yards passing.
 Jesse Mitchell- Kentucky State- Mitchell graded out at 91% with 7 knockdowns. He helped lead the Thorobreds to 334 total offensive yards and 4 touchdowns.
Chris Spalding- Kentucky State- Spalding had 3 punts for 110 yards with 2 inside the 20. Lane returned only one punt for a net of 7-yards.
Ezekiel Johnson-Lane- Johnson had 109 yards on 11 carries, including a 65-yard touchdown run.
Jocquise Island-Lane- Island had 9 tackles (6 solo tackles, 3 Assist), including one tackle for loss.
 
Evan Yabu-Lane- Yabu had 4 rushes 68 yards, including a 57-yard run. He also had 3 kick returns for 59 yards, including a long of 24.
Mike Love- Lane- graded out at 85%. 4 pancakes, Anchored the OL for 272 net yards rushing.
Travis Terry- Lane- Recovered a blocked PAT and returned it for a safety.
Gerard Berton-Miles- had 146 receiving yards on 6 catches and two touchdowns. Byron Ingram- Morehouse- Ingram played only one half and completed 4-of-7 passes for 53 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 35 yards, including a 19-yard touchdown.
Derrick Hector-Morehouse- Hector caught 5 passes for 83 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 47-34 upset win over Fort Valley State.
Jamar Rodriguez-Morehouse- Rodriguez returned 5 kickoffs for 118 yards, an average of 23.6 yards per return.
Damian Ford-Stillman- Ford had 8 catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-29 overtime loss to Miles.
Antonio Salter-Stillman- had a game-high 9 tackles (7 solo tackles, 2 assisted), 2.0 tackles for loss for 2 yards.
Christopher Stokes- Stillman- Didn’t allow a sack and helped the Tigers gain 293 yards of total offense.
Ronnie Partridge- Stillman- had 8 punts for 332 yards, 41.5 average, long of 45, and put 1 inside the 20.
