The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) is proud to announce the 2010 men’s and women’s cross country top returning runners and predicted order of finish. Leading the way for the men’s runners is Dickson Toroitich of Benedict, who returns as the top performer in the 8K with a time of 28:46.17. The women’s top returning runner is Tonya Payne of Fort Valley State, with a time of 20:53.94 in the 5K.
Morehouse leads the way, for the men, with three of the top seven returning runners in the SIAC, including Karlton Mitchell, Michael Vinson, and Dreyfus Clemons. Breanna Pleasant and Janes Douglas of Clark Atlanta along with Kristina Record and Tonisha Delorch of Kentucky State give both schools two runners each among the top seven returning women’s performers.
Morehouse College men and Clark Atlanta University women are both predicted to repeat as conference champions in 2010.Picked to finish second and third behind Morehouse is Benedict and Clark Atlanta, respectively. For the women, Kentucky State and Benedict are picked to finish second and third, respectively, behind Clark Atlanta.
