Albany State's Stanley Jennings wins HSRN National Player of the Week Honor

Albany State quarterback Stanley Jennings was named the Heritage Sports Radio Network (HSRN) national player of the week after his performance in the Golden Rams 42-12 road win over Kentucky State. 

The junior from Marietta, GA threw for 267 yards, completing 13 of 19 passes, and three touchdowns, helping lead the Golden Rams to 418 yards of total offense

Jennings was one of four finalists for this week’s award, a group that also included Morehouse sophomore running back David Carter. The 6-2 235-pound signal caller received an astonishing 1,210 votes in HSRN’s fan poll, 994 more votes than the runner-up, Winston Salem State quarterback Octavious Hawkins.

Albany State will return to action Saturday, September 11th in their 2010 home opener against Clark Atlanta. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
