The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announces the 2010 Golf All Conference team led by Regular Season MVP Olajuwon Ajanaku of Morehouse College. Morehouse College led the way with four all-conference selections in Phillip Allen, Bryan McElderry, and Earl Cooper in addition to Ajanaku. Benedict College also had two players selected to this year’s team in Galen Aldrich and Anthony Wik.
Olajuwon Ajanaku, a junior, had a regular season scoring average of 75, good for second-best in the conference. The New York City native was also an SIAC All-Tournament selection after finishing tied for first with teammate Bryan McElderry at this year’s SIAC Golf Championship. Ajanaku, along with his teammates, helped lead the Maroon Tigers to an SIAC Championship title as well as a national title at the PGA National Minority Collegiate Golf Championship.
Paine College’s Miles Anderson was garnered SIAC Freshman of the Year honors.
