The Golden Tiger defense produced the big plays en route to a 42-27 victory in the 73rd Skegee/Morehouse Class in Columbus, GA on Saturday. The victory was the 22nd in a row for the Golden Tigers, the No.1 ranked team in black college football. The defense scored two touchdowns in three seconds that put the game away early in the fourth quarter.

Albany State became the first SIAC school to win their homecoming game this season as they defeated Clark Atlanta 34-20. ASU held the high powered offense of CAU in check giving up just 61 yards rushing and 142 yards passing.

Kentucky State's homecoming was ruined and dominated by Fort Valley State who blew out the Thorobreds 59-21 in front of their biggest crowd of the season. Fort Valley State never let the Thorobreds get closer than seven points en route to giving them their biggest loss in 16 years. Turnovers were the biggest key to victory including two fumbles that were returned for touchdowns (1 pictured).

Robert Reese’s two-point conversion run in the fourth overtime delivered Benedict a 54-52 victory Saturday over Lane in Jackson, TN. Benedict (4-3, 3-2), which had the second possession in the fourth overtime, scored on Verna Nesmith’s (pictured) 5-yard run. Despite a super human performance by Lan'es QB Sherard Ellis, Ellis accounted for 532 yards (388 passing, 144 rushing), Lane loss its third SIAC game by four points or less.

Stillman got their first win since August, snapping a five game losing streak, to defeat Edward Water 20-16. QB Darrell Nevis, had a stellar performance leading his team to victory while throwing for 226 yards and two touchdowns (1 rushing and 1 passing) despite busting his thumbnail during the game.

Miles dropped another tough game to Concordia College 24-29. After jumping out to a 17-0 lead, Concordia would rally and score 23 unanswered points to get the victory.
